Helmet Day 1

Little birdie got her helmet today. :(  I guess it really wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it's not fun for Mommy no matter how cute she looks in it!  She was in it 3 hours today and will go for the 2 hour stretches tomorrow.  Honestly, I don't even think she noticed it was on.  I'm nervous about nursing her in it, but have faith it will be just fine. I am designing her "bling" and hopefully will give her some style in the next couple of weeks!

Check out the cutey in her cap...I love the one in her saucer, looks like she's groovin' to the beat!  What a little chunk.  More tomorrow...

  1. She looks adorable in it!

I was worried about nursing in it as well and have actually found that that extra half an inch makes it easier for Mason to get into a good position than without! We haven't had a single issue at all. So try not to worry about it, momma, it will go great!

  2. Hi! Found your blog through babycenter's plagio support. Love the idea of starting a blog about your experience! My son got his hanger helmet a little over a week ago. Things went great at first (and I agree with previous comment--the helmet wasn't an issue at all for nursing!), but then we had some issues with a red spot. The orthotist's "fix" created another sore spot. Combine that with teething--and you have fun, fun, fun! Anyhow, we just put the helmet back on full time yesterday and so far, so good. I'm interested to read about your experiences, especially since we're starting around the same time, so thanks for starting the blog! Oh, and if you haven't looked here yet, then go to www.blingyourband.com for ways to decorate Quinn's band. Good luck!

  3. I am so glad you have a post on this, as I am a first time mom and so scared of the thought of my son wearing a helmet. It looks like on your blog i can learn a lot about it. thank you so much for posting all the updates.
